This animated gif was taken just after the camera started working again. What you can see is a 30 second period looking westward starting with totality and gradually the light appears over the horizon.
Since the camera was an after thought and Stephen never really intended to film in the first place we didn't bring a tripod, the original film was rather unsteady as we were looking up trying to catch third contact through the clouds, so some anti-jitter has been applied to the image. This means that the frame appears to dance about while the image remains steady. Concentrate on the picture rather than the dancing frame and you'll see how quickly the shadow moves away.
